East of the barrier mountains and west of the Mespi River is a large expanse of flat land known only as the Great Plains. It is mostly home to centaur tribes and nomadic bands of humans, and very little of it is actually owned by any official humans, though the portion of it that is owned is farmland. There are treaties between the centaurs and the human kingdoms to keep the grasslands and the native wildlife preserved as part of the centaurs' way of life.
